Saskatoon, Saskatchewan --- The Saskatchewan Appaloosa Horse Club (SAHC) has a long history of promoting and supporting youth programs and opportunities. Each of the nine breed shows offered this year in Saskatchewan, provides a wide array of classes for our young competitors. As well, many other opportunities exist throughout the year related to contests, promotional events and clinics.

One of the many highlights our young horse enthusiasts work towards, is the opportunity to compete at the National Appaloosa Horse Show, which will be held this year on August 2 - 7, 2004 in Brandon Manitoba. Some of the very best from across Canada and the United States will work hard for the top spot! The Saskatchewan Appaloosa Horse Club also enters a team of seven youth who will represent our province in a variety of team events. On May 1st the team was selected which is comprised of many well known young horsemen and women including Amylia (Amy) Buettner of Saskatoon; Shelby Clemens, Alex Gielis-Graham and Alicia Gielis-Graham all of Lumsden; Mandy Nemeth from Yellow Creek; Mackenzie Siba from Davin and Jamie Burns of Moose Jaw as the alternate. Well known Coaches Brenda Clemens of Lumsden and Natalie Weichel of White City will help guide the team through six days of exciting and challenging competition.

Congratulations to all members of the 2004 Saskatchewan Appaloosa Youth Team!
