Chief Executive Officer Position at Equine Canada

Ottawa, ON --- Chief Executive Officer position at Equine Canada. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• academic accreditation suitable for this position or work experience equivalent;

• proven executive experience in a not-for-profit, volunteer driven environment;

• evidence of capability to manage multiple tasks;

• evidence of ability to create operational and business plans, including policies and

detailed procedures to support them;

• evidence of diplomatic skills resulting in many parties, often with differing interests,

constructively working together; and

• good understanding of the national sports organization environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with

• a good knowledge of equine/equestrian activities in Canada,

• bilingual (English and French),

• substantial experience in working with government agencies, and

• experience with international not-for-profit organizations.
