Kentucky Horse Shows Announce Current Standings for Hagyard Challenge Series Rider Bonus

Lexington, KY --- The Hagyard Challenge Series will continue this week at the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows, held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. A series of seven major show jumping competitions, the series offers $170,000 in prize money and an overall Hagyard Challenge Series rider bonus of $30,000. The final event of the series, the $50,000 World Cup qualifying grand prix, is scheduled for the Kentucky National Indoor Horse Show on September 28, 2007. This year, the rider bonus will be awarded to the leading rider of the summer-long succession of classes.
The Kentucky Summer Horse Show will be held from August 1-5, 2007, with the $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix scheduled for Thursday, August 2, in the Sheila C. Johnson Arena. The Kentucky Summer Classic follows the week of August 8-12, and the Hagyard Challenge Series event will be held on Thursday, August 9.
After the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows and two Hagyard Challenge Series grand prix classes, Kent Farrington and Ainsley Vince are tied for the top spot with their prize money totaling $9,000. Molly Ashe-Cawley is not far behind with $8,400, and Katie Prudent and Lauren Hough are tied with $6,600. Jimmy Torano and Christine McCrea currently have $2,400, and Cara Raether and Margie Engle are equally ranked with $1,800. Mark Leone, Debbie Stephens, and Caitlyn Sheils each amassed $1,500, and Jonathan McCrea is currently tied with Robert Kraut and Robin Sweeley, who have each won $1,200. Also listed in the standings are Nicole Simpson, Nona Garson, and Kevin Babington, each with $900, and Ljubov Kochetova and Ali Wolff with $600.
