Claudia Cojocar Recognized as Jump Canada’s 2005 ‘Volunteer of the Year’

Ottawa, Ontario --- Claudia Cojocar of Hope, BC, was honoured with the 2005 Jump Canada ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Award in recognition of her dedicated support of Canadian show jumping.
Best known as a highly respected coach and clinician, Cojocar serves as Jump Canada’s Coaching Chair where she relentlessly devotes countless hours to the development of coaching standards. Last fall, Cojocar steered the highly successful Coaching Symposium held in Langley, BC. Jump Canada is pleased to acknowledge that particular accomplishment in addition to Cojocar’s continuous dedication to the improvement of coaching programs throughout the country.
Kept confidential until its announcement, Cojocar was revealed to be the 2005 Jump Canada ‘Volunteer of the Year’ on February 11 during the 2006 Equine Canada Annual Convention in St. John, NB.
In its inaugural year, the 2001 Jump Canada ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Award was given to Alan Chesler of Orangeville, ON, while Mark Samuel of Toronto, ON, was honoured in 2002 for his dedication to Canadian show jumping as the first Chair of Jump Canada. In 2003, Chesler was once again named the recipient based on his dedication to the success of the FEI Children’s Final held in Calgary, AB. In 2004, Craig Collins of Loretto, ON, was recognized for the hundreds of hours of volunteer service given to both Jump Canada and Equine Canada as a whole.
