This clinic is suitable for anyone, but is designed specifically for those interested in participating in the Ride for Red Jumper series shows, benefiting the Canadian Blood Services. The cost of the clinic is $15.00, and it will run from 2-4 pm. Topics covered: types of jumper classes, what to expect at a jumper show, appropriate tack, walking the course, and stratagies to negotiate a course.       • Witness real horse power at Horse Showcase 2010 on SUNDAY, MAY 30th from 9 am to 5 pm. The event is held 10 minutes East of Edmonton at the Strathcona Olympiette Centre (Fultonvale). The horses take centre stage in our MAIN OUTDOOR ARENA, where old favorites like our Parade of Breeds, Heavy Horse Presentation and Pony Club Prince Philip Game’s demonstrations will be joined by new presentations; Vaulting, Champagne ride and the Western Obstacle course. And be sure to drop by our Breed Alley. Our horse savvy round pen variety of areas including Heavy Horse Harnessing, Natural Horsemanship, Trick Horse Training, and Horse Safety. For the kids, we have a number of exciting activities; the stick horse making area is back for a $2 donation young cowgirls and cowboys can drop by to create their very own stick horse and take part in our stick horse parade. The little cowpokes can then head over to our 'Kids Korral' where budding equestrians can touch and feel everything “horsey” and learn about safety, horse breeds and horse colors. An added attraction in this area is our Literacy Tent, presented by the Arabian Literacy Project, where children can drop by and listen to a variety of horse stories read by our volunteers. And finally, drop by the Rescue 100 Foundations’ tent and take part in their Horse Health Scavenger Hunt. Or maybe you are thinking about doing some shopping - then drop by our commercial exhibit area, featuring products and services for horse owners and horse lovers. And don’t forget to have your 'passport' stamped by select vendors and ENTER TO WIN a WAGON RIDE FOR FOUR through the Blackfoot Grazing Reserve, courtesy of Hitch Master Percherons.
